What is Auto Insurance?

In very simple and straight words, Auto insurance gives you protection against any financial loss if you meet an accident. An auto insurance policy ensures protection for you and your family as well as for other drivers driving your car. It covers the losses in the wake of an accident by your fault. Auto insurance is a legal contract among the insured, you and the insurance provider, the insurance company for which you need to pay some monthly or some periodic premium according to the policy taken up by you. In addition, the Auto Insurance Company agrees to pay for all your losses as defined in the policy.
Auto Insurance provides coverage in three aspects of property, liability and medical:
· Property coverage includes the payment for any damage to or theft of your car.
· Liability coverage insures you against the legal and financial responsibility of incurring bodily or property damage to others.
· Medical aspect covers the payment of rehabilitation, treatment of injuries and sometimes-lost wages and funeral expenses.
An auto insurance policy normally has six different types of coverage. Barring a few most of the states, require you to buy some of these coverage options. If you are getting a car financed, your lender might also have some specific requirements.
Generally, auto insurance policies expire within six to twelve months. Your auto insurance company tells you by mail or by giving a call to you when it’s time to pay your premium and when to renew your policy. After that you can decide whether you want keep your auto insurance policy from the same old company or you want to change your auto insurance provider.

I need to get auto insurance for my vehicle just so I can get a movers permit for one day. The problem is that I don't want 6 months of insurance nor do I need the car to be insured for more then a day so I can just have it transported. Is there anyway to a days worth of auto insurance?
Your medical insurance provider will collect from the insurance company of the driver who caused your injuries. This process is called subrogation. It is standard practice throughout the US.
You are not entitled to dual benefit from your injuries. Go ahead and consult an attorney — he or she will almost certainly tell you the same thing.
If you have a pain and suffering claim, that would be paid by the insurance company of the at-fault driver, assuming that there is any room left on his liability coverage. If he had minimum liability that's probably been exhausted already. An attorney can help with that part of your claim if need be.
Depends on the company and the state that you live in. Auto insurance is regulated by each state so it can differ from state to state.
Some companies might offer:
-Good student discount (if you have a B or better average, so 3.0 or higher)
-Driver Training discount (if you got your drivers license through an 'on the road' driver training course and got a certificate stating you completed the course
-Some companies offer a book to be completed to make you designate driving goals to make you aware of your driving skills.
If there are 3 cars in the house and 3 drivers in the house, you will probably have to be put as a primary operator of a car, BUT if threre are 2 cars in the house and 3 drivers in the house you could probably be rated as an occational operator of the vehicle.

Breaking into insurance sales is very tough. Many agents have parents who own agencies, and learn the business that way. Many more work for an insurance company in marketing, etc. This allows them to learn the business, and then they can buy out an agency. There are a few companies that are willing to hire and train you. But those opportunities are few.
The best way for a person without connections or years of experience to break into the field is to get a customer service rep (CSR) position at an existing agency. The pay isn't great, but the knowledge you gain will help you work your way into an agent position.
Agents work for commissions only. This is why there is a high failure rate. It take awhile for an agent to build up renewal commissions to be able to earn enough money to live on. As for leads, some companies are better than others. But in the end, if someone has a solid lead, they aren't going to give it to you, they will take it themselves.
