Get the Cheapest Car Insurance

Get the Cheapest Car Insurance

With the market flooded with various car insurance companies, it becomes important to know how to get the cheapest car insurance deal.

If you are a car owner, affordable car insurance is something you can’t do without. Car insurance gives a sense of security to the car owner in case of financial loss due to an accident or theft. In case of any accident, insurance helps in providing claims for all the expenses borne by the car owner. It is therefore important to choose the cheapest car insurance that offers you the maximum coverage and thereby helps you to reduce the overall expense of running a car on the road.

Generally, the cost of car insurance depends on various factors like, cost of the car, ownership of the car, security features available in the car and the type of insurance cover required by the car owner.

You can get the cheapest car insurance if you are the only owner and driver of your car or if your car has some security features. This gives a sense of security to the insurance company that your car is safe and is less likely to be stolen or met with an accident. Some other factors that determine the cost of insurance are, the size of car, parking place, age and gender of the driver. A small sized car and safe parking can help you get cheap car insurance.

These days, you can find a number of car insurance companies available in the market that claim to offer the cheapest car insurance. They have various insurance policies such as liability car insurance, comprehensive car insurance, and few more. These policies differ in terms of coverage offered. Also, many of the car insurance policies are subject to various terms and conditions due to which many car owners may not be entitled to apply for such policies. Thus, finding the cheapest car insurance can be a time consuming and a difficult task.

If you want to get the cheapest car insurance, the best way is to take the services of a car insurance broker. They can help you get the car insurance as per your needs and budget, also they will ensure that you get the maximum coverage in case of any loss to your car. This is possible because the car insurance broker is able to compare different car insurance deals available in the market.

They are not enticed by the cheapest car insurance offers of other insurance companies. Rather, they will go in detail about the terms and conditions of the cheap insurance. With the help of their adequate knowledge, they are able to advise you which type of car insurance cover is right for you. Depending on that, you can decide whether you should go for the Third Party car insurance, the Third Party Fire and Theft or the Fully Comprehensive car insurance.

Help answer the question about car insurance

Am I required to get rental car insurance if I don't have my own auto insurance?
I am planning to sell my car and cancel my auto insurance. If I want to rent a car, am I required to buy their rental car insurance, since I wouldn't have any other auto insurance otherwise?
If I use my Discover card to rent the car, Discover will provide me with a Collision Damage Waiver of up to $25,000. Would that count as insurance?

Insurance rates vary from company to company, so, your best bet would be to obtain a quote from different insurance companies to see who can provide you with the best rate. Only obtaining the rate from one company won't let you know if you are getting the best rate.
If your vehicle is being financed (you are still paying on it), you would want to have comprehensive and collision coverage. Both of these coverages require that you select a deductible, which is the amount you are required to pay before the insurance company pays. Pick limits that are affordable for you in the event you have an accident (mainly go with the $250 deductible option). Also, pick liability limits that will protect you if you cause an accident, and that will prevent you from being sued in the end. For example, you have limits of 25/50/10 meaning that $25,000 will be paid for bodily injury up to $50,000 and $10,000 will be paid if you damage property. That might be the state limit, but if you hit a Hummer, you are out of luck and the other driver can sue you. Pick your limits wisely.

Just get a quote from insurers you get from yellow pages,. the internet, the TV, the radio.
Simply don't go for the first price they quote you but spend a few days collecting data.

See this http://gsx1.com/InsuranceComparison.html take the quote, they'll come back with prices from different insurers in your area. It's very quick and free of charge.
But to find a cheap price you should get several quotes, do some legwork till something better will come along.

I'm going to give you advice against your specific request, but only because I've seen what "the cheapest insurance" will do to your stepson and anyone involved in an accident he may get into.

I'm going to recommend you either place him on the same insurance you are on, because you will get a multicar or multi-driver discount, and because you ideally have a good history with your insurer so they will treat your stepson a bit better.

The cheapo companies will drop him the instant a bug hits the windshield and will guarantee a protracted legal battle if he gets into an accident if he ever wants to see his money or his car again.

I've been with State Farm for 13 years, and I've been through several accidents on both sides of the bender. They're pricier, but they've always treated me very well. The right company makes all the difference…..

    Good luck.

PS.. He may get additional discounts on insurance with any carrier if he takes a driver's ed class, and if he gets good grades in school.

Well, there are three factors…the insurance company's rates, your discounts, and the level of coverage.

Mercury insurance generally will be the cheapest insurance rates, and liberty mutual will be 2nd or 3rd cheapest.

If you want the cheapest insurance rates, tell them you want the state minimum requirements for auto insurance, don't add on anything such as rental car, etc, and say you want a liability only policy. This will not put comprehensive coverage on your policy, and will reduce the term rates for you.

However, this is not a good way to go, I would say pay a good amount for your insurance, because at crunch time after an accident or theft has occurred, whatever amount you damaged or are found responsible for, you are legally liable for. So basically, whatever the insurance pays is great, but anything past that you are responsible for by law. This means that if you have a liability only, state minimum policy and total a $50,000 car, your insurance company will pay $10,000 to the other party, not pay anything for your vehicle, deny you a rental car, and the other party will take you to court for the remaining $40,000. I highly suggest getting a middle level coverage auto policy for peace of mind, it may not be the cheapest price around, but you won't have to worry about losing your house or savings account over it.
