Help answer the question about health insurance
What affordable health insurance would you recommend for my uninsured 21 year old daughter? She works full time but her employer charges an outrageous amount of money for health insurance. I know there are many many young people who don't have health insurance, mostly because of the cost of high insurance premiums. But my daughter really needs it cause she has some health issues that will stay with her for a lifetime.
thanks everyone!
Mr. White Raciest Stupak;
You are one raciest person! As a Native American, I find your actions against us, to continue the hundreds of years genocide against us.
Abortion kills minorities… not white America.
Public option now
Why add to what is already a bad situation by bringing your new boyfriend? When I was going through my divorce, we had to attend a pre-mediation hearing. They said specifically to NOT bring new gf's or bf's with you since that really just causes trouble for everyone. You're better off sparing your ex having to see you and your new bf… it'll hopefully keep things more civil between you both.
Hope you do the right thing….. good luck, God bless
And people quiver in fear over the possibility that the government may somehow stand in between them and their doctors one day… well, THESE cold heartless insurance bastards right here already stand between us and our doctors, and will continue to do so until health care is reformed.
You should visit a local independent agent. The agent can sit down with you and answer all your questions. The agent can also work with you to find the best policy for your situation and budget.
With most major medical plans you get the doctor visits and prescriptions for the co-pay without meeting the deductible. Almost everything else will be subject to the deductible. This means you pay the deductible first then the insurance kicks in. Most plans also have co-insurance. When the insurance kicks in you still pay 20% of the charges. This co-insurance is capped at a dollar amount so the 20% that you pay is stopped and the insurance then pays 100%. So for the $10,000 surgery you will pay the first $2000 and 20% of the next $8000 for a total of $3600. However, if you need medical care the hospital is not going to wait until you have the money for the deductible. They will do the procedure and bill you. You can then set up a payment plan.
There are different types of policies, which is why you need to talk with an agent. There are policies that don't cover anything until you've paid the deductible. There are policies without doctor co-pays or with annual limits. There are policies that pay 100% after the deductible, such as an HSA policy which is a very good policy for most people but you need to be aware of the way it works.
i would love to see one of them on the street…we cal talk all about health care!
American people are walking around in a coma w/ ipods blasting in their ears. They are not interested in health insurance because they will never get sick. They are in a fantasy bubble. Get smart, read about government and what’s going to affect them.
They’re not in the health insurance business for our health — just our money.
The US is the only industrialized country in the World without universal health care. We also have the highest amount of money spent, and that is not counting the 45 million uninsured.
But I'm sure the Republicans are right about socialized medicine, and the rest of the world is wrong.
Most towns and cities have some sort of free mental health for everyone..check on the internet or the blue pages of your phone book. If you cannot find anything check with charities like Catholic Charities ( even if you are not Catholic) they usually have free mental health providers. Honestly, I do not think he will be placed in a mental hospital unless he is suicidal and even if he is placed usually they would only keep him for a week or two until he is stabilized by medications. Good Luck, I really feel as though the mental health needs of people are overlooked. It would be easier to get help if you had cancer or diabetes hopefully that will change in the future and mental health problems will not be looked at as a stigma but as the sickness that it is.
I knew this FUCKIN IDIOT WOULD CAVE TO OBAMA>>>BLUE DOG DEMOCRAT>>>>NO SUCH THING!!!!
hang with a banker and begin acting like one
Yes, and you can count on that being the case for most massive corporations. Ruthless and Heartless, the bottom line is all that counts to these people – it was a mistake to make corporations entities
Better them than the government, you can more easily change your insurance company than your government.
